Job Overview:
At Wind River Family and Community Health Care, we are seeking a highly skilled Optometrist to join our team. As an Optometrist, you will play a crucial role in providing vision and eye care education and counseling to patients, as well as recording all patient care and procedures in their health record.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in organizational meetings to develop new medical procedures and evaluate existing ones to improve patient care.
  • Examine eyes, using observation, instruments, and pharmaceutical agents, to determine visual acuity and perception, focus, and coordination.
  • Treat visual disorders through prescription of corrective lenses, vision therapy, and pharmacological means.
  • Coordinate care and coverage of three optometry offices.
  • Make appropriate referrals to other specialists or services.

Requirements:
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from a Council on Optometric Education-accredited school.
  • Permanent, current, full active, and unrestricted license to practice optometry in the United States.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of optometry.
  • Ability to interact well with staff and patients of diverse cultural backgrounds.
