Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical/Piping Designer to join our team at HUNT, GUILLOT & ASSOCIATES. As an onsite position, you will work closely with our client in the Shreveport, LA area, executing and reviewing complex engineering design projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and analyze general designs provided by engineers, ensuring technical accuracy and constructability.
  • Prepare detailed designs for engineer approval, utilizing company standards and drafting techniques.
  • Create construction drawing packages, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop layouts and estimates from job scope and vendor information, considering constructability and technical feasibility.
  • Perform field verifications and P&ID walk-downs, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
  • Technology training in Drafting and Design from an accredited school, with an Associate degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of refinery design experience, with 10-15 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, CADWorx, and AutoCAD Plant 3D Software, with 10-15 years of experience preferred.
  • Ability to climb ladders, maneuver through pipe racks, and work at heights with a harness.
  • Local candidates preferred, with per diem considered for highly qualified non-local candidates.
