We are seeking a highly skilled Perioperative Quality Improvement Nurse Specialist to join our team at Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health. About the Role

This is a full-time position that will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective systems for quality improvement and patient safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
  1. Aggregate data and information from Perioperative Services and Procedural areas to identify trends and patterns, and develop strategies to improve patient outcomes.
  2. Monitor medical records and collect data related to quality improvement initiatives, and maintain databases using Microsoft Excel or Active Strategy.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate care and services, and participate in peer review processes to ensure high-quality care.
  4. Develop and implement annual quality improvement plans in conjunction with department chairs, senior directors, and other stakeholders.
  5. Participate in various committees, including the 90% Perioperative Steering Committee and the 80% Procedural Sedation Committee, to provide results of quality improvement activities and contribute to problem identification and resolution.
  6. Maintain effective written and verbal communication with senior directors, medical directors, and other stakeholders.
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • At least two years of experience in Perioperative and/or critical care settings, with computer skills and knowledge of quality improvement principles.
  • A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, current PA licensure, and BSN preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 per year, based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
