Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse

">American Family Children's Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join their Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team on a 13-week contract basis. As a PICU nurse, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality care to critically ill or injured children and their families in a state-of-the-art 21-bed unit.
About the Role
">This is an urgent need with a shortened compliance period, requiring a candidate who can commit to the required hours and experience level. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in PICU and some cardiac ICU or cardiac step-down experience. They must also have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years.
Responsibilities
">As a PICU nurse, your primary responsibility will be to provide family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families. You will work closely with nationally recognized pediatric specialists to deliver comprehensive care for patients with various medical and surgical problems. This includes acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi-system organ failure, and ECMO.

- Must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years">
- Valid Nursing License">
- BLS certification through American Heart Association">
- PALS certification through American Heart Association">
- Basic Arrhythmia experience">
- Pass Telemetry test prior to start">
