We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Commonwealth Center for Children & Adolescents (CCCA). As a Registered Nurse, you will provide age-specific nursing care to child and adolescent psychiatric patients in a safe, therapeutic environment using the least restrictive measures necessary.
Responsibilities- Work closely with other members of a multidisciplinary treatment team to provide collaborative trauma-informed psychiatric care to assigned patients.
- Prioritize care according to patient acuity and manage changes in patient behavior and/or physical condition as part of the treatment team.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, and document such care and patients' response in accordance with policy and HIPAA regulations.
- Supervise, support, and work collaboratively with Direct Care Staff.
- Experience working as a Registered Nurse.
- Must successfully complete BLS, TOVA, and other required training upon employment.
- Presents effective interpersonal communication skills, team-focused care, and a professional appearance/approach.
- Presents the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care utilizing knowledge of pharmacology, psychiatric, and physical disorders, cultural needs of the psychiatric patient.
- Experience or ability to delegate, supervise, evaluate, and problem-solve.
- Registered nursing licensure or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Experience as a Registered Nurse in a psychiatric, healthcare facility, acute care, long-term, or correctional setting.
- Bilingual.
- Veteran.
- A highly competitive salary commensurate with experience.
