JOB OVERVIEW

The Quality Assurance Leader will oversee, implement, and evaluate the organization's quality control and assurance initiatives encompassing all facets of the Quality Management System (QMS) and product standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Direct and delineate the roles of QA/QC staff and allocate specific tasks as necessary.
  2. Assist upper management in executing the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives, ensuring they are effectively communicated and comprehended by all personnel.
  3. Collaborate with supervisors and managers to develop and train on facility procedures and operational instructions.
  4. Ensure the training matrix and all employee training documentation are accurately maintained.
  5. Oversee the calibration program for the facility's measurement and testing apparatus.
  6. Administer the Internal Audit Process within the facility.
  7. Manage document control processes to guarantee compliance is upheld.
  8. Supervise the Corrective Action and non-conformance procedures.
  9. Coordinate with third-party inspectors, job data packages, and inspection releases as necessary.
  10. Facilitate the annual Management Review.
  11. Conduct Trend Analysis on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Requests (CPARs).
  12. Oversee the calibration programs for monitoring and measuring equipment.
  13. Engage in Material Review Board activities.
  14. Perform failure analysis and generate reports in response to Quality Action Requests for products.
  15. Collaborate with plant engineering and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  16. Administer Management of Change and Risk Assessment activities.
  17. Act as the Management Representative for the facility.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor of Science degree is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of QA/QC experience is required. Educational qualifications may be waived in favor of relevant experience and demonstrated behavioral and technical skills.

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks in the absence of complete information.
  • Ability to provide leadership to team members, particularly during crises or conflicts.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to read blueprints and perform dimensional inspections.
  • Familiarity with basic statistical methods.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Typical working conditions for both factory and office settings. Exposure to chemicals, noise, and varying temperatures is expected. The role requires less than 10% domestic business travel and may necessitate evening and weekend work.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds.
