We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Office Nurse to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, visual acuity, and administering medications and immunizations.
- Assist physicians with technical procedures, such as outpatient surgical procedures and assembling sterile instruments and supplies.
- Triages phone calls and executes appropriate follow-through.
- Recognize changes in patient's physical and mental condition and takes appropriate actions.
- Responds appropriately to emergency situations.
- Current licensure in the State of Massachusetts either LPN or RN.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as an LPN or RN.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and lead and train a group of employees.
- Knowledge of nursing procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of office and laboratory procedures.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and strong proficiency with Microsoft office applications and electronic health records.
