Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Sunrise Medical Laboratories, Inc. as a Float Phlebotomist. As a key member of our laboratory operations, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and customer-focused service while performing venipuncture and collecting non-blood specimens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and process blood and non-blood specimens from patients of all ages.
- Perform venipuncture and other phlebotomy procedures with precision and care.
- Ensure accurate and timely specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering.
- Champion safety, compliance, and quality control in the laboratory environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care and service.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous phlebotomy training or experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
