We are looking for a skilled Hospital Floor Services Worker to join our team at Forrest General Hospital. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of hospital floors.
About the Role:- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of hospital floors, including stripping, waxing, buffing, cleaning, and shampooing of carpeted areas.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition.
- Use chemicals and supplies safely and effectively.
- Move furniture and equipment as needed.
- Interact with patients, families, and visitors in a professional and respectful manner.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of previous work experience, preferably in a housekeeping or healthcare setting.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Good judgment and initiative.
- The ability to relate well to others.
We estimate the salary for this role to be around $42,000 - $52,000 per annum, depending on experience.
