Pickleball Instructor Job Description

We are seeking experienced Pickleball instructors to join our team at the Ocean Community YMCA. As a Pickleball instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and coaching to our members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Coaching: Develop and deliver engaging Pickleball lessons, clinics, and drill sessions to members of all skill levels.
  • Course Design and Delivery: Create and enhance course designs to ensure a high-quality education for our members.
  • Program Development: Help develop and implement Pickleball programs that meet the needs of our members.
  • Court Maintenance: Ensure the upkeep of our Pickleball courts.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with college coursework preferred.
  • Pickleball Experience: Familiarity with the game of Pickleball, including a mastery of the game and ability to teach and share the sport with others.
  • Certifications: IPTPA Certified Teaching Professional or PRO Level PPR Certification.
  • Teaching Experience: Experience teaching Pickleball to youth and adults.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to direct programs and supervise volunteers and staff.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Collaboration: Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
  • Certifications: CPR/AED/First Aid/Emergency Oxygen Administration certification-American Red Cross Preferred.
