Polysomnography Expert

Overview of the Position

This Neurodiagnostic Technologist II position plays a critical role in the Sleep Disorders Center, performing complex neurodiagnostic & polysomnography tests. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Primary Responsibilities

2. May provide instruction and guidance to other technologists in the Neurodiagnostic/Sleep Disorders Lab.">
3. Conducts patient assessments, recognizing data from complex situations to determine priorities for care.">
4. Sets up rooms and equipment in lab and inpatient settings, calibrates and maintains equipment.">
5. Collects and scores polysomnographic tests.">
6. Takes patient histories and instructs patients and families on test preparation and pretest interviews.">

Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants must possess a graduation from an acceptable program of Neurophysiology and be registered in one of the following specialty areas: EEG (Electroencephalogram- R. EEG T., CLTM), Polysomnography (RPSGT), or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST).
