Yuba Community College District is seeking a qualified Adjunct Agriculture Environmental Horticulture Instructor to join our team.
Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced instructor to teach Agriculture/Environmental Horticulture courses up to 6-10 hours/week. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering instructional lectures and laboratories, using appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning, and assessing student learning outcomes every semester.
Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver instructional lectures and laboratories for Agriculture/Environmental Horticulture courses
- Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning
- Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses
- Assess student learning outcomes every semester
- Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired
- Masters in agriculture, agriculture science, education with a specialization in agriculture or other agricultural area
- Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students
