Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary:
Manpower Skilled Technical is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join its team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, maintenance, and repair work to maintain and enhance buildings, facilities, machines, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform all regularly scheduled preventive maintenance inspections as prescribed by quality assurance and maintain records.
  2. Diagnose and correct mechanical and electrical troubles to involve repairs and replacement of controls, motors, switches, devices, etc. Assist in diagnosing and correcting electronic troubles. Replace and fit bearings, bushings, gears, shafts, etc. using a broad range of hand and machine tools. Make all proper adjustments to ensure accurate and efficient operations.
  3. Work from general assignments and proceed with supervision and direction. May assign work to and instruct, train, and assist other employees, including but not limited to maintenance trainees or apprentices. Assist Plant Engineer with ordering maintenance supplies and spare parts and participate in troubleshooting involving the machine tool manufacturer.
  4. Requires judgment within limitations of general methods and standards. Work from drawings, sketches, specifications, and instruction manuals. Use advanced shop mathematics and a variety of measuring devices which require interpretation in various applications. Use a variety of mechanical and electrical tools to perform work. May do welding, brazing, and fabrication when required.
  5. Perform proper and safe material handling utilizing bridge and overhead hoists with lifting devices, and variety of forklifts.
  6. Maintain a high degree of quality, quantity, safety, and keep work area clean.
  7. Participate in the Company's High-Performance Work teams.
  8. Other duties as required by the position.

Requirements:
  1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  2. 5+ years' experience.
  3. Demonstrated experience in the following skills: electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical machine repair.
  4. Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly and more than 40 lbs. occasionally, with assistance.
  6. Requires the use of general mathematics.
  7. Requires the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, and handbook formulas.
  8. Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
