Job Title: Tax Manager - Income Tax

Spectrum is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager - Income Tax to join our Corporate Tax team. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax compliance for multiple entities. You will analyze and interpret tax laws and regulations that impact tax compliance, as well as navigate taxation matters related to acquisitions, dispositions, and corporate/partnership taxation issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for multiple entities
  • Analyze and interpret tax laws and regulations that impact tax compliance
  • Navigate taxation matters related to acquisitions, dispositions, and corporate/partnership taxation issues
  • Provide tax analysis to facilitate the calculation of current and deferred tax expense, valuations, financings, forecasting, and other internal or external projects
  • Research and recommend solutions to income tax accounting issues
  • Assist with special projects, including tax planning and identifying cash-saving opportunities
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in business tax return preparation, review, and related research
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to use personal computer and software applications (word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)
  • Superior Excel skills
  • Knowledge of tax return preparation software
  • Ability to research and resolve technical tax issues
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Knowledge of accounting theory and financial statement presentation
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to effectively perform as part of a team committed to common objectives
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree such as Master's in Accounting with concentration in Tax
  • CPA
  • Big 4 public accounting experience - 3-5+ years
  • Management or leadership experience - 2+ years
