Position Overview:
The Senior Administrator for Product Testing plays a crucial role in executing development initiatives aimed at creating functional prototypes that evolve into production-ready ATV/SxS vehicles. This position involves researching and integrating new technologies to meet business objectives while ensuring global product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop specifications for components and systems of ATV/SxS prototypes that meet concept targets and manufacturing requirements with minimal oversight. Communicate these specifications effectively through prototype and production drawings, and prepare comprehensive test summaries.
- Establish performance benchmarks to fulfill vehicle concepts and competitive standards. Validate specifications, components, and complete vehicles with limited supervision, while maintaining accurate technical and administrative documentation.
- Manage individual work schedules to meet deadlines, communicate resource needs with supervisors, and effectively utilize contractor resources.
- Contribute innovative ideas to advance new technologies and assist in the maturation of these concepts for development applications.
- Support market quality initiatives by employing problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and develop specifications as needed.
Candidate Profile:
Educational Background:
- Associate's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably within the powersports sector.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in data acquisition and laboratory techniques.
- Strong understanding of development project cycles and milestones.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to create and manage project plans and schedules.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Additional Position Insights:
Travel Requirements: Up to 10% travel may be necessary based on project needs, including potential international travel.
Physical Demands: Primarily desk work with some lab and vehicle testing. Frequent keyboarding, as well as physical activities such as kneeling, standing, reaching, and lifting may be required.
Work Environment: Typical office and shop setting with exposure to various hazards, including chemicals and moving parts.
