Retail Pharmacist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate pharmacist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing patient care through the provision of direct operational and clinical patient services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide accurate medication order-entry, drug distribution, drug administration, diagnostic testing, and patient care.
- Confirm the appropriateness of drug therapy for specific patient populations, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Supervise pharmacy support personnel and verify the accuracy of tasks performed.
- Complete pharmacy consults and provide clinical services with appropriate documentation.
- Provide experiential education training for pharmacy technicians, students, and new team members.
- Act as a liaison between pharmacy and assigned patient care areas, solving distribution problems and monitoring drug supplies.
- Bachelor's Degree from an ACPE-approved college of pharmacy, PharmD preferred.
- No previous experience required, but department-specific pharmacy experience is preferred.
- Licensed as a Pharmacist in South Carolina or eligible to become licensed within 3 months of hire date.
- Thorough knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with subordinates, peers, supervisors, and others outside the department.
- Problem-solving abilities and ability to work in team situations.
This position requires working all shifts within the department, including first, second, third, weekends, and holidays.
