Note: Only candidates with a valid Florida law license in good standing will be considered.

Position Title: Civil Litigation Attorney (Remote)

Compensation: $100,000-$110,000/year based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Case Oversight: Manage all stages of litigation, from initial evaluation and documentation through discovery and resolution, ensuring strategic and effective case management.
  • Legal Advocacy: Represent clients in various disputes, including business litigation, condominium and homeowners' association conflicts, construction defect claims, municipal ordinance violations, and landlord/tenant issues.
  • Negotiation Expertise: Conduct extensive settlement negotiations, employing advanced strategies and legal acumen to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Motions Practice: Handle all facets of motions practice, showcasing exceptional legal writing skills and crafting persuasive arguments to advocate for clients.
  • Court Representation: Prepare for and participate in key legal proceedings, including depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, with potential in-person attendance as required.

Qualifications:

  • Litigation Management Experience: Minimum of 2 years managing all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, and case strategy development.
  • Preferred Background: Experience in general civil litigation and real estate-related cases, such as COA/HOA disputes and landlord/tenant matters, is advantageous.
  • Active Florida Bar Membership: Must hold a current license to practice law in Florida.
  • Legal Writing and Research Skills: Proven excellence in legal writing and research, particularly in a motions-heavy environment.
  • Knowledge of Florida Civil Procedure: Strong understanding of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure to ensure compliance and strategic advantage.
  • Client Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with clients, understanding their needs and objectives throughout the legal process.
  • Dispute Resolution Experience: Proven experience in managing and resolving legal disputes through negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Strategic Legal Thinking: Ability to develop tailored legal strategies for each case, ensuring optimal advocacy and outcomes.
