MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society is seeking a highly skilled Physician Anesthesiologist to lead our anesthesia services team. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of medical expertise in our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Medical Leadership: Provide medical direction and oversight to our anesthesia team, ensuring that all patients receive the highest level of care.
- Patient Care: Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia, and take prompt action to counteract any adverse reactions or complications.
- Medical Research: Conduct research to aid in controlling and curing disease, investigate new medications, and develop and test new medical techniques.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other medical professionals to determine the best course of treatment for patients.
- Quality Improvement: Develop and implement plans and procedures to improve the quality of anesthesia services.
- Education: A doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
- Licensure: Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Residency Training: Completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
- Language: Proficiency in spoken and written English.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced medical environment, with frequent exposure to patients and medical equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting and provide exceptional patient care.
