Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Quality Correctional Health Care (QCHC). As an LPN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a correctional environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver nursing care as directed by the Physician within the scope of the State Board of Nursing Practice for the LPN.
  • Respond to emergency situations and conduct patient intake paperwork.
  • Verify and obtain orders for patient medication and administer medications following nursing standards and correctional regulations.
  • Complete and document ordered treatments, patient care, and collection ordered labs.
  • Assist the provider with Chronic Care Clinic and Provider sick call visit.
  • Monitor for, report, and document changes in patient's condition.
  • Accurately document all patient information, nursing care, and interventions.
  • Ensure daily nursing tasks are completed within prescribed timeframe.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and assist with training and orientation of new personnel.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an Accredited Vocational/Technical School.
  • Current and valid LPN or LVN license.
  • Current CPR.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting as an LPN.
  • One year experience in a correctional healthcare setting is preferred.
