Job Title: Perishable Associate

Food Lion is seeking a Perishable Associate to join our team. As a Perishable Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting store environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including sweeping and cleaning floors, and cleaning and organizing the store mop room.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues.
  • Operate a cash register, handle customer transactions, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
  • Follow Food Lion's standard practices and procedures for cleaning, sanitation, and food safety.
  • Participate in inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Work collaboratively with other associates to achieve store goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
