Job Opportunity

TX-STAR Speech Language Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Special Education Teacher to join our team in Killeen / Temple, TX.

As a contract Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and designing instructional materials to address the unique learning goals and needs of each student.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Design and adapt instructional materials to address the unique learning goals and needs of each student.
  • Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities, utilizing various teaching techniques and strategies to promote academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly, employing appropriate assessment tools and techniques, and making necessary adjustments to instruction.
  • Utilize assistive technologies and resources to enhance student engagement and facilitate learning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field required.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff.
