Job Overview

Venture Talent Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a critical member of our global systems integrator, you will be responsible for managing all phases of Datacenter installation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of Datacenter installation projects
  • Think strategically and demonstrate leadership
  • Assume total ownership from receipt of completed engineering work package to delivery of project completion and final documentation
  • Provide great customer service and deliver projects according to customer expectations

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Demonstrate good customer skills
  • Has total responsibility for job layout and plan of execution
  • Stays current with latest technologies and installation procedures
  • Must have full understanding of scope of work
  • Ability to understand and accurately complete all paperwork required of assigned project
  • Ability to run small, medium, and large projects when required
  • Fully competent in Vision standard for quality installation craftsmanship and customer service excellence
  • Fully competent at installation and termination of various copper and fiber products in accordance with TIA/EIA standards and BICSI standards
  • Competent in testing and troubleshooting of copper and fiber cable plant systems in accordance with TIA/EIA standards and BICSI standards
  • Competent at directing team in assembling, installing, and securing various cable trays, racks, and cabinets used in telecommunications closets
  • Understands basic principles of grounding and bonding as described in BICSI installation methods and must be capable of properly bonding cable trays and properly grounding racks, cable trays, etc.
  • Knowledgeable in proper operation of all Cat5, Cat5E, Cat6 testers to include proper operation of tester, properly saving test results and properly downloading and storing test results on network
  • Knowledgeable in proper operation of fiber power meter testers to include proper operation of tester, properly saving test results and properly downloading and storing test results on network
  • Must be knowledgeable in proper operation of OTDR to include proper operation of OTDR, properly saving test results and properly downloading and storing test results on network
  • Fully capable of interpreting test results from fiber and copper testers and successfully troubleshooting and properly repairing fiber or copper cable plant to ultimately ensure correct and valid test
  • Ability to drive company vehicle throughout day
  • Knowledge of fiber terms and troubleshooting is needed

Education/Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • BICSI and industry certifications - preferred
