Position Overview:

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in the Vaccine Production Program, focusing on the execution and coordination of formulation and stability studies. This position requires a meticulous approach to assay development for vaccine and biotherapeutic characterization, alongside effective management of laboratory instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct formulation and stability studies utilizing established laboratory techniques and analytical methods.
  • Generate and analyze samples, ensuring the precision and reliability of data.
  • Compile and interpret data to assist in the development of assays for vaccine and biotherapeutic characterization.
  • Draft and review technical reports and protocols that document formulation, stability, and method development studies.
  • Present findings and data in departmental meetings and small group discussions.
  • Independently manage formulation and stability studies, executing experiments and data analysis.
  • Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation, ensuring optimal operational status.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in protein analytics, formulation, or a related area.
  • Familiarity with standard protein biochemistry sample handling and analysis techniques, including buffer preparation and SDS-PAGE.
  • Proficient in data analysis software such as Excel, Prism, and SigmaPlot.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competence in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or similar software suites.
  • Understanding of the structural properties of proteins.
  • Hands-on experience with various analytical techniques, including UV-visible spectroscopy, fluorescence, Circular Dichroism, and Differential Scanning Calorimetry.
  • Ability to work independently while demonstrating effective time management skills.
