We are seeking a highly skilled Instructor/Writer to support the Army Cyber School at Fort Eisenhower, GA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver high-quality instructional content for the 170A Warrant Officer Basic Course (WOBC) in programming and scripting.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging and effective training materials.
  • Utilize knowledge management applications such as SharePoint and Blackboard to maintain and update course materials.
  • Provide technical instruction and support to students, focusing on pedagogical and andragogical content knowledge.
  • Diagnose and address student misconceptions and misunderstandings, and provide corrective feedback.
  • Design and deliver presentations to large or small groups, using creative approaches to presenting.
  • Develop and review training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluate training results.
Requirements:
  • Top Secret Clearance / SCI Eligibility
  • Possess skills/knowledge of performing office automation work, including word processing, electronic mail, spreadsheets, presentations, and other personal computer applications.
  • Graduated and have current (within last five years) TRADOC Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC), Foundation Instructor Facilitator's Course (FIFC), or Common Faculty Development Instructor Course (CFD-IC).
  • Possess pedagogical/andragogical content knowledge, defined as the ability to recognize student mistakes, why they may have made those mistakes, and how to get students back on track from where they are.
  • Able to diagnose underlying student misconceptions and misunderstandings from the mistakes they make and then help them correct those misconceptions and misunderstandings instead of merely addressing the mistakes themselves.
  • Possess advanced presentation speaking skills, including tailoring content and delivery for different audiences, presenting confidently to large or small groups, and using more creative approaches to presenting.
  • Technical Instructor certification or designation, or (2) years of experience teaching technical content in a formal classroom setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, or Basic or higher (i.e., Senior, Master) Certification as a Cyberspace Capabilities Developer (CCD).
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in EACH of the following languages – Python, PowerShell, Bash, and C programming and scripting, AND Three (3) or more years of experience and knowledge in operating system concepts such as processes, threads, context switching, user mode/kernel mode, synchronization, IO, CPU Scheduling and their associated algorithms, memory management, and file systems.
  • At least one (1) year of experience, within the last five (5) years, instructing full-length instructional and/or training material in courses related to programming/scripting is strongly preferred.
