Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead a team in the design and implementation of high voltage substation projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in power systems and controls, with experience in protective relaying and substation design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers and designers in the design and implementation of high voltage substation projects
  • Develop and implement substation protection and control systems
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and specifications
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers
Requirements
  • BSEE with a power systems or controls emphasis from an ABET-accredited engineering program
  • Seven or more years of experience in high voltage substation design and implementation
  • PE license
  • Experience with protective relaying and substation design
  • Proficiency with SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, CDEGS, or vendor software
  • Familiarity with design codes and standards, such as NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with in-line, bus, and equipment protection
  • Experience with RTU and data concentrator based SCADA systems
  • AutoCAD or MicroStation experience
  • Construction and start-up experience
  • Testing or commissioning experience
