Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient vital signs, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam.
  • Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients, ensuring they understand their care plan.
  • Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved procedures, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Draw blood and prepare labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing, adhering to established protocols.
  • Perform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructions, ensuring accurate results and efficient workflows.
  • Respond to all lab messages and call-back requests, providing timely and effective communication with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Perform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Ensure patient immunizations are well-documented and administered in accordance with approved procedures, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Conduct physician referrals and service pre-certifications as needed, ensuring seamless communication with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications

We are seeking an individual with an Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred.
