The role is under the supervision of the Quality Control Manager within the Campus Planning, Infrastructure, and Facilities department. The Quality Assurance & Project Coordinator is tasked with a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at supporting the Facilities Operations Team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring adherence to operational quality standards while managing specialized customer-funded projects across all designated Facilities locations.

The incumbent will conduct site evaluations (inspections) for both custodial contractual services and in-house operations, as well as perform interior building assessments. Additionally, this role involves assisting the Quality Control Manager in overseeing corrective action strategies for custodial operations and facilitating the submission of corrective measures for facility maintenance. This position serves as a primary contact for contractual services, frequently navigating operational areas to inspect and discuss service requirements and expectations. The Quality Assurance Coordinator will also provide support and act as a resource for the Quality Control Manager, aiding in various administrative tasks.

Furthermore, this position will manage a specific collection of custodial responsibilities related to Facilities projects and special events. This includes coordinating customer-funded work requests and renovation cleaning initiatives, with a significant emphasis on floor care operations.

The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, proactive, solution-focused, and results-driven, with a commitment to continuous improvement. The successful applicant must possess the ability to manage multiple tasks, including sensitive and confidential matters, with the highest level of discretion. The individual is expected to execute assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision while maintaining effective communication with the Quality Control Manager, Director, and other leaders within the Facilities Department.

Required Qualifications


• Proven experience in conducting site evaluations, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and managing corrective action plans.

• Ability to collaborate with teams to develop strategic processes and procedures.

• Familiarity with routine floor care and maintenance practices.

• Proficient in general computer operations and software applications.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and projects effectively.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications


• Associate's degree in Business or a related field, or a combination of relevant training and experience.

• Experience in large commercial or educational environments.

• Background in custodial services or facilities management.

Additional Information

The successful candidate must be capable of extensive walking and standing, climbing, and working on stairs; safely lifting or handling up to 35 lbs.; bending, stooping, reaching (including overhead), pushing/pulling, performing repetitive motions, twisting, and shoveling snow.
- Must be able to operate both electrically powered and manual cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Emergency personnel health & safety responsibilities.
- Standard work hours are from 5am to 1:30pm, but hours may vary based on project requirements and management needs. | May work in high-traffic areas, especially during transitions between classes and special events. | May be assigned to various buildings as needed by the department. | Must wear uniforms provided by the employer as directed by the supervisor.
- As necessary, must utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- This position qualifies for the issuance of a mobile communication device (e.g., radio, cellphone, tablet, etc.). Issued devices are the employee's responsibility and must be returned in satisfactory condition upon termination of employment. Devices are to be used according to supervisor instructions and relevant policies.
- A valid driver's license check with an acceptable driving record is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.

A criminal conviction check will be required for the successful candidate.
