As a CNA, you will provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Provide assistance with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and vital sign monitoring.
- Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate, and create a positive dining experience for the residents.
- Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed, and maintain all department specific required certifications.
Responsibilities
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Assist residents with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and vital sign monitoring. Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed, and maintain all department specific required certifications.
Requirements
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred. Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
