These include advanced diagnostic imaging, emergency care, innovative surgical procedures, maternity services, and comprehensive cardiac care.
Position Overview:
The role involves providing both direct and indirect patient care within the medical-surgical environment. The nurse will effectively communicate with physicians, Nurse Managers, and colleagues regarding any changes in patients' clinical conditions, including diagnostic results and symptoms. The ability to respond promptly and accurately to shifts in patient status or treatment responses is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general nursing duties across various departments with appropriate supervision.
- When acting as charge nurse, assign patient care responsibilities based on the skills and experience of nursing personnel, ensuring safety for both patients and staff.
- Guide and mentor staff in all aspects of patient care and management.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives, from planning to implementation, and take corrective actions as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Texas.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association within 90 days of employment.
