Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled VMware and Server Systems Administrator to join our team at Resource Informatics Group in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have strong technical documentation skills and experience with VMware virtualization, Active Directory, and Linux.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and implement VMware for Windows and Linux images, ensuring seamless integration with network and SAN storage in the Equinix co-location environment.
  • Deploy and configure physical servers in the Equinix location, collaborating with Client DT SMEs to gather deployment requirements.
  • Demonstrate expertise in vSphere and vMotion with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on VMware virtualization experience.
  • Utilize advanced technical skills in Active Directory navigation, queries, domain object joining, DNS, and Group Policy modifications, backed by 5+ years of technical experience.
  • Deploy Windows Server and RHEL Linux images as VMware guests, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Maintain a detailed runbook with well-documented configuration details for all project activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to the overall success of IT infrastructure projects.
