Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our Neurosurgery team at Johns Hopkins Medicine. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive care to patients with neurosurgical conditions in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of neurosurgical conditions

• Collaborate with neurosurgeons and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans

• Conduct thorough medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order diagnostic tests as needed

• Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management and procedural interventions

• Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or completion of a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a Physician Assistant Program

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland (or eligibility for licensure) along with Maryland CDS (prescription) and DEA (narcotics) licensure required

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in neurology or neurosurgery preferred

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to independently manage complex patients

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach to care
