CNC Machinist

The CNC Programmer 1 is responsible for utilizing CAD software to convert fabrication drawings into machinable parts on the CNC machines (punch press, laser, and press brake).

This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately perform work. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, as well as basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements.

The successful candidate will be proficient with CAD Software and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and have excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities include:

• Reading technical drawings and converting 2D and 3D drawings into mechanical components on the CNC machines
• Recommending scheduled machine runs to provide the highest output of production
• Verifying cutting tools and cutting sequences
• Completing all production, programming, and quality control documentation, as required
• Operating the CNC machines as needed

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years' experience in a related field

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• Able to traverse production floor as needed
• Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection while working on the production floor
