About the Role

The Assistant Store Manager is a key member of our retail team, responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of our convenience store and fuel site. This is a full-time position that requires a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing store operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Supervise and train store associates to ensure excellent customer service and efficient store operations.
  • Customer Service
    • Greet customers and process transactions in a friendly and efficient manner.
    • Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Inventory Management
    • Assist in managing inventory levels and monitoring stock levels to prevent overstocking or understocking.
    • Verify accounting accuracy and ensure accurate cash handling procedures.
  • Store Maintenance
    • Assist in maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the store and fuel site.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as stocking product and cleaning.
  • Health and Safety
    • Implement and maintain health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations related to health and safety.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous leadership experience in a customer service environment preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Ability to lift 55 pounds and carry short distances.
    • Ability to stand and walk for 8+ consecutive hours.
