Your Role as a Project Architect
In the capacity of Project Architect, you will engage in a range of design initiatives, conducting research and analysis to bolster our innovative Industrial Design practice. This role involves supporting the leadership team in growing our presence and portfolio through strategic project pursuits and nurturing client relationships. The Project Architecture team collaborates closely with colleagues and integrates with LJC's various disciplines, as well as the construction and real estate sectors of our parent company, Clayco, to deliver projects that are cohesively developed.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the cohesive design of projects and/or the creation of construction documentation.
- Act as the primary liaison with contractors and consulting engineers.
- Manage one or more team members effectively.
- Lead design teams in crafting proposals for prospective clients.
- Organize and contribute to business development efforts.
- Develop thought leadership in architectural design and technical aspects.
- Facilitate discussions within the local and regional design community.
- Recruit and interview potential candidates to ensure the growth of the practice.
- Represent LJC at community and civic events.
- Embody LJC's core values of integrity, humility, and fearlessness.
- Guide and contribute to LJC's Core Councils, focusing on Culture, Integration, Practice, Process, and Sustainability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related discipline.
- Over 10 years of relevant experience in architecture and design.
- Must hold a valid architectural license.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD/Revit, and MS Office.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting to both internal and external audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills for relationship-building and coaching colleagues.
- Skilled in client communication and relationship management.
