Role Summary: The Cost Accountant will play a crucial role in evaluating and reporting financial transactions associated with fixed assets, inventory, and the general ledger.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conducting planning and data collection to assess business expenses.
  • Implementing overhead cost applications in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Evaluating manufacturing expenses and generating comprehensive reports.
  • Processing and interpreting production data sourced from the ERP system.
  • Assisting planners in the closure of production orders.
  • Creating detailed machine cost reports.
  • Collaborating with various departments to enhance cost development.
  • Overseeing automation initiatives and revenue reconciliation processes.
  • Recording transactions in the General Ledger.
  • Providing reconciliations and support for various accounts.
  • Assisting in inventory audits and reconciliations.
  • Serving as a backup for the Senior Cost Accountant.
  • Engaging in special projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
  • Familiarity with SAP software.
  • 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting.
  • CMA certification preferred; MBA is an advantage.
  • Detail-oriented with proficient computer skills.
  • Strong communication and multitasking capabilities.
