Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Perform chest examinations, consult with doctors and other healthcare staff, and provide detailed therapy to patients in intensive care.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and modify patient treatment plans, taking into account individual patient needs and goals.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure the proper use and maintenance of respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on the proper use of respiratory equipment and medication, promoting independence and self-care.
  • Quality Assurance: Regularly assess and improve patient care processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
  • Experience: Six months of experience in a critical care or intensive care environment, with a focus on respiratory care.
  • Licensure: Valid state Respiratory Therapist license and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Certifications: Certified Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
