Position Overview:

The Solar Electrical Project Manager is tasked with overseeing the site electrical construction timeline, execution strategy, and addressing daily challenges that arise during the construction of solar energy projects. This role is pivotal in coordinating all electrical site construction efforts and supervising electrical field personnel to ensure the successful completion of solar projects on time and within budget. The Project Manager is committed to delivering a safe, high-quality, and profitable solar initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures excellence in project management and delivery, aligning with client expectations.
  • Fosters positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and team members.
  • Communicates site activity updates, including accurate installation rates, projected task completions, and potential hazards to the Construction Site Manager.
  • Schedules and manages appropriate staffing for daily construction operations.
  • Identifies potential changes in schedule, workflow, and staffing needs.
  • Maintains the electrical construction timeline, anticipates upcoming challenges, and resolves issues effectively.
  • Orders necessary materials and schedules inspections throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Interprets project plans and specifications accurately.
  • Prepares schedules and oversees the completion of a final electrical punch list.
  • Ensures that transmission line structures, including all foundations and access points, are constructed according to specifications.
  • Oversees site preparation work in accordance with contracts, designs, and specifications.
  • Contributes to the execution of the overall construction plan.
  • Reviews engineering drawings prior to construction to ensure safe and reliable project execution.
  • Implements a quality control program to ensure processes align with project designs and standards.
  • Keeps the job site organized, including the onsite construction office.
  • Manages quality assurance for electrical construction.
  • Handles design change notices and ensures compliance with subcontractor contracts.
  • Oversees electrical materials on site.
  • Prioritizes the safety of electrical crews at all times.
  • Ensures all necessary permitting activities are completed before work begins.
  • Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance as expected.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a solar construction or utility construction environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

The final compensation will be determined based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is eligible for bonuses.
