Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance program and department at Dickinson Frozen Foods. This position ensures that policies and procedures are followed throughout the plant, and that all aspects of the quality assurance program are executed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sanitation and Quality Assurance: Perform weekly sanitation audits and inspections of equipment before plant startup, and monthly food safety audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Audit and Inspection: Conduct monthly glass audits, foot bath audits, and pest control record reviews to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure accurate and complete documentation of audit results, customer complaints, and corrective actions.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and lead quality assurance technicians and micro lab technicians to ensure efficient and effective execution of quality assurance tasks.
  • Training and Development: Provide monthly HACCP and GMP training to plant personnel, and ensure that all employees are aware of and comply with quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the plant complies with all applicable regulations, and that the HACCP plan is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Customer Service: Respond to customer complaints and inquiries, and ensure that all customer requests are met in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Equivalent practical experience in quality assurance or a related field.
  • Skills: Bi-lingual in English/Spanish, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Magic.
  • Certifications: HACCP certification and Food Science/Processing Certification.
