Electro-Optical Systems Engineer

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Electro-Optical Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Imagery Processing and Exploitation Department, you will be responsible for solving complex image processing problems and multi-source data analysis in support of national security community members.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and evaluate new and advanced algorithms for image processing and data analysis
- Provide image data exploitation services related to collection systems, collection planning, data processing, and transmission
- Analyze and critique requirements for current and planned imaging systems
- Provide technical recommendations on approaches to computationally intensive problems
- Collaborate with government and contractor personnel to deliver value-added technical analyses
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in roles of increasing engineering/scientific responsibility
- Experience with national, civil, and/or commercial imaging systems, image processing, image exploitation, or digital signal processing
- Programming experience using Python and/or Matlab
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and ability to obtain and maintain at least a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
- Masters or Ph.D. degree in a STEM field or equivalent
- Experience with COTS image analysis and interpretation software
- Knowledge of Intelligence processes
- Familiarity with data visualization and data science principles/applications
The Aerospace Corporation offers a competitive compensation package, including a grade-based pay range of $129,000 - $193,500. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health care and wellness plans, paid holidays and time off, and a 401(k) plan with company-paid contributions.
