About the Route Manager Role

The Route Manager is a key position at Waste Management, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our routes. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to motivate and develop a team of drivers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onboarding: Ensure new drivers have the necessary tools and support to succeed in their roles.
  • Developing: Provide regular feedback and coaching to drivers to enhance their performance and career goals.
  • Coaching: Identify areas for improvement and work with drivers to develop solutions.
  • Mentoring: Lead by example and teach drivers about safety practices and the WM Way.
  • Performance Management: Conduct investigations and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: No experience required, or successful completion of the WM Route Manager Trainee program.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
