Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drywall Superintendent to join our team at Acousti Engineering. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of drywall, framing, and related finishes on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of field staff, ensuring timely and high-quality completion of projects.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, including allocating manpower and resources.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Lead and mentor field employees, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Manage labor-only subcontractors, including payroll processing, safety oversight, and supervision.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment rentals, and maintenance schedules.
  • Regularly update project managers and the VP of construction on project progress.
  • Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for new field team members.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in construction, with a strong focus on framing, drywall installation, and related trades.
  • Proven experience in reading and creating schedules based on general contractor schedules.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and familiarity with construction software.
  • OSHA 10 and/or 30-hour certification required.
  • Forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, and fall protection certifications preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain a firm but fair approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and maintain confidentiality.
