  • Ensure seamless patient access to hospital services by maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient information.
  • Verify patient eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations for services rendered.
  • Calculate and collect patient portions based on benefits and contract reimbursement.
  • Perform financial assessments for program assistance.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and insurance companies.
  • Represent the Patient Access department in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Support flexible department needs to accommodate patient volume.
  • Meet established performance goals and complete required training.

Requirements:

Education/Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Successful completion of the core educational curriculum, Excellence at the Front End, within one year of employment.

Experience

  • One year of experience in hospital registration or a comparable position preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

  • None required.

Work Type: Per Diem As Needed
