Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure seamless patient access to hospital services by maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient information.
- Verify patient eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations for services rendered.
- Calculate and collect patient portions based on benefits and contract reimbursement.
- Perform financial assessments for program assistance.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and insurance companies.
- Represent the Patient Access department in a professional and courteous manner.
- Support flexible department needs to accommodate patient volume.
- Meet established performance goals and complete required training.
Requirements:
Education/Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Successful completion of the core educational curriculum, Excellence at the Front End, within one year of employment.
Experience
- One year of experience in hospital registration or a comparable position preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
- None required.
Work Type: Per Diem As Needed
