Niagara Bottling is seeking a skilled Production Operator II to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing lines, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Line Management
- Responsible for the overall maintenance of production lines, including the start-up and shutdown of equipment.
- Perform minor adjustments to production equipment as directed.
- Quality Control
- Accurately complete and update information forms and logs, such as Machine Report, Quality Report, Downtime Report, and Carton Top Load Report.
- Recognize and report quality defects immediately.
- Housekeeping and Safety
- Maintain general housekeeping in all areas of production, including break rooms and rest rooms.
- Ensure the use of personal protective equipment where required.
- Raw Materials Management
- Ensure adequate supplies of raw materials, such as bottle caps, labels, cartons, and pallet wraps.
- Team Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to troubleshoot production equipment issues.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth production operations.
Requirements
- Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree preferred.
- Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating multiple manufacturing machines.
- Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Oracle/MES or current order management system.
Working Conditions
This position requires the ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and other hazardous materials. The position also requires the ability to work in a rotating 2-2-3 schedule, including 12-hour shifts, day or night.
