Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Angiography Tech (IR) to join our team at Emerald Health Services. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing and assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and assist with routine and highly specialized diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures on patients following established parameters/protocols.
  • Assist in maintaining a smooth operational flow and maximum patient volume.
  • Scrubs in and assist the physician during the procedure, circulates within the procedure room, and procures all equipment needed for any given procedure.
  • Positions the patient, selects radiation exposure parameters, and images the patient.
  • Maintains a high degree of accuracy and an awareness of all radiation and patient safety issues involved with any invasive procedure.
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding and working knowledge of normal anatomy, abnormal anatomy, and physiology, radiation safety, interventional supplies, and equipment operation.
  • Recognizes and resolves equipment operations, problems, and discrepancies.
  • Anticipates patient needs and concerns and determines the appropriate care needed.
  • Uses professional judgment and critical thinking when performing procedures.
  • Performs calmly in stressful situations and interacts with radiologists, clinicians, and peers in a cooperative, harmonious manner for maximum effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Angiography work setting.
  • Valid CRT, ARRT, and CA License.
  • Flouro Permit required.
  • BLS certification.
  • ARRT Advanced Certificate preferred.
  • Level I Trauma experience preferred.
  • Teaching Hospital experience preferred.
  • Trauma, stroke, neuro, and CT procedure experience preferred.
