Under the guidance of the department Supervisor or Manager, the Senior Clinic RN is responsible for planning, directing, and delivering exceptional nursing care in alignment with the Washington State Nurse Practice Act and the clinical standards of Pacific Medical Centers. The role requires adherence to professional nursing standards, procedures, and protocols.
The RN will integrate the nursing process to provide effective patient care and assume leadership responsibilities. A systematic and collaborative approach to nursing practice is essential. The position involves active participation in quality assurance, process improvement, infection control, and staff development initiatives. Compliance with state regulatory guidelines is mandatory. The RN will provide specialized care within a designated specialty department, utilizing critical thinking, experience, and demonstrated competency in patient pre-admission screenings, intra-procedure care, and recovery.
Required Qualifications:
- Nursing degree (Baccalaureate, Associate, or Diploma) from an accredited nursing program.
- Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- A minimum of 3 years of recent RN experience in an inpatient or specialty care environment.
- 3 years of recent experience in a specialty or acute care setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Training in equipment used within the specialty department.
- Training in equipment and instrument sterilization.
- Training in sterile technique.
- Certification in specialty (CCRN, CNOR, or CGRN) upon hire.
