Position Summary

As a Nail Care Specialist, you will provide exceptional nail services, including manicures and pedicures, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate guest needs and preferences, assessing any contraindications and the condition of nails.
  2. Advise guests on appropriate nail care techniques and products.
  3. Promote and sell spa and salon retail items.
  4. Provide information about the resort's amenities and escort guests to treatment areas.
  5. Ensure guest comfort throughout the service and check in regularly.
  6. Adhere to scheduled appointments and manage time effectively.
  7. Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of tools and work areas.
  8. Dispose of waste and maintain a tidy workspace.
  9. Secure all supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
  10. Stay current with licensure and certifications in nail care.
  11. Report any incidents or unsafe conditions to management.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and protect company assets.
  13. Provide assistance to guests with disabilities as needed.
Additional Information

Regular attendance is crucial for the success of this role. Flexibility in scheduling is required to meet the needs of the resort. Participation in training sessions and meetings is mandatory.

All employees must adhere to the standards and regulations set forth by Grand Pacific Resorts to ensure a safe and efficient operation.

Qualifications

Education
  • Completion of training at an accredited beauty or esthetics school is required.
Experience
  • A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a salon or spa environment is preferred.
Licenses
  • Must possess a valid State of California Manicurist License.
  • Must have personal liability insurance as a nail technician.
Grooming Standards

All employees are expected to maintain a neat and professional appearance in accordance with Grand Pacific Resorts' standards.

Attendance Policy

Consistent attendance is essential for this position. Employees are expected to comply with the attendance standards set by Grand Pacific Resorts.
