About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team at CMC Steel US LLC. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and components in our steel mill environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using test equipment and personal knowledge
  • Exercise judgment when troubleshooting AC/DC motor controls and high voltage systems
  • Inspect and perform daily maintenance on shop machinery, mobile equipment, and HVAC systems
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of electrical systems and components
  • Perform necessary maintenance tasks, including repair or replacement of damaged parts
  • Provide technical assistance to maintenance and production personnel
  • Use SAP maintenance module to execute duties and utilize computers to acquire information
Requirements
  • Work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Must have experience and ability to demonstrate electrical principles and troubleshooting techniques
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in heights for extended periods
  • AC/DC troubleshooting experience required
  • Electrical controls maintenance and repair proficiency
  • Knowledge of melting, casting, and rolling process and related equipment preferred
