Overview
The Lead Culinary Specialist will skillfully and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present substantial quantities of food items for various meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events. The primary responsibilities of this role encompass those outlined below, but LifeView Group may identify additional duties. These responsibilities may vary among accounts, depending on operational needs and client specifications.
Role Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in food service or a related domain is required.
- Knowledge: Must possess a solid understanding of basic kitchen operations.
- Recipe Skills: Ability to read and accurately interpret recipes and menus is essential.
- Eligibility: Must meet eligibility criteria for work assignments on specified contracts.
- Interpersonal Skills: Must be capable of interacting appropriately with customers, government personnel, subcontractors, and LifeView Group management staff.
- Instruction Comprehension: Must understand oral and/or written instructions.
- Screening: Must be able to pass organizational screening requirements, including state or federal background checks as applicable.
Physical Requirements
The role may involve travel to various locations and buildings throughout the year and in diverse weather conditions. Most tasks will be performed indoors. The position may require working with cleaning chemicals and adherence to Emergency Operations Work Assignments as per customer requirements. Schedules are subject to change and may necessitate early morning, mid-morning, afternoon, evening hours, as well as weekends and holidays.
While executing the responsibilities of this position, the team member is regularly required to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach overhead, sit (to drive), and lift up to 40 pounds. Occasionally, lifting or moving up to 50 pounds may be required.
