Electronics Engineer Job Description

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Electronics Engineer to join our team in support of the Field, Lab and Air Integration / Experimentation / Modeling and Risk Reduction (FLAIR) office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and other locations.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Electronics Engineer to provide programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition/administrative support services to augment FLAIR core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of FLAIR and its associated Managers and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and analyze electronic components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, medical, military, and scientific applications.
  • Develop new applications of conductive properties of metallic and nonmetallic materials used in components and in application of components to products or systems.
  • Direct field operations and maintenance of electronic installations.
  • Evaluate operational systems and recommend design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements.
  • Specialize in development of electronic principles and technology in fields such as telecommunications, telemetry, aerospace guidance, missile propulsion control, counter-measures, acoustics, nucleonic instrumentation, industrial controls and measurements, high-frequency heating, computers, radiation detection, encephalographic, electron optics, and biomedical research.
  • Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
  • 1-10+ years of experience.
  • 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance.
Compensation

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $75,000 - $250,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data).
