Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team as a Traveling MRI Imaging Specialist. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires national travel up to 6 months a year and as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Operate MRI scanners to ensure patient safety and perform high-quality scans.
- Order supplies, clean equipment, and prepare scan rooms.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and report them to the relevant department.
- Utilize ancillary tools and equipment, including PACS and other software systems.
- Image post-processing, including transferring images to PACS and ensuring all post-processing steps are complete.
- Leadership: train new technologists in patient safety, room preparation, effective communication, image acquisition, time management, and post-processing.
- A strong base knowledge of MRI imaging and patient safety.
- Licensed with the appropriate board (ARMRIT or ARRT (MR) or equivalent).
- BLS - Basic Life Support.
- Completion of an accredited Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) program or radiologic technology program.
- Clinical work experience of at least 2 years.
- Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team and thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate patient care skills and explain complex medical terms in a non-technical manner.
- A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing situations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
